Having enough of the incessant rumors surrounding the incarcerated Pugilist’s return, Espinoza has recently taken a firm stance around the potential showdown between two prominent fighters, Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Keith Thurman. In a direct and unequivocal message, Espinoza has made it abundantly clear that these speculations should be put to rest. To put it simply, he’s stating, “Y’all need to stop with the Tank vs. Thurman stuff.”
The boxing world is no stranger to rumors and speculation, especially in this age of social media where information, accurate or not, spreads like wildfire. Espinoza’s straightforward message serves as a reminder to exercise caution when consuming information from various sources. In his words, “Stop believing everything you read on social media. Not all sources are the same.”
Y’all need to stop with the Tank vs. Thurman stuff.
It’s. Not. Happening.
Stop believing everything you read on social media. Not all sources are the same.

This candid statement from the Showtime executive underscores the importance of discernment in an era where misinformation can easily proliferate. It highlights the need for a critical approach to the plethora of boxing-related news and rumors that constantly flood the online sports community.
Tank’s Jail Time
As you may recall, earlier this year ‘Tank’ found himself in the Tank, (pun intended) for 44 days. Initially, he managed to stay out of jail following a Hit and Run case in November of 2o2o, This incident left four people injured, according to Talk Sport, This leniency resulted from Davis accepting a plea bargain and admitting guilt to four traffic violations.
Though less than a month after his sentence, he found himself in trouble following a violation of the terms of a home arrest order. Subsequently, he was released in July and has been contemplating his return to boxing since. Fans and pugilists were just dreaming of the two Bruisers stepping into the ring, Keith being a big name in boxing, though those dreams are now all but dead.
