It is certain that Canelo Alvarez will not fall short of opponents in the near future. Almost every other contender seeks an opportunity to face the undisputed super-Middleweight champion. However, Alvarez can only face one individual at a time and Jermell Charlo happens to be his next opponent. The announcement of his fight comes after his recent signing with Premier boxing champions. Many consider the match-up to be unfair since Charlo would be going up in weight class to face the champion. And Tim Tszyu shares his opinion and asserts that the motivation behind Charlo facing ‘Saul’ is only financial.
Tszyu is an American professional boxer and is the former WBC interim light Middleweight champion. His current record stands at 23 victories, 17 via knockout and no defeats. Intriguingly, Tszyu was supposed to face Charlo but the fight fell off after the champion withdrew from the bout due to a hand injury. Tszyu remains a mandatory challenge for Charlo at junior Middleweight but for his return, he is moving up and facing Alvarez. Tszyu considers the same to be an escape from contenders at junior Middleweight and his fight with Alvarez is for obtaining a “bigger pay.” However, many fans are not in agreement with Charlo and are quick to lash out at him.

Alvarez is one of the biggest stars of the sport and fighting him would definitely be lucrative. Reflecting on the same, Charlo asserts that, “[Jermell Charlo] had one last fight in him because he was going to lose. So he took the one with bigger pay. He’s a businessman.”
Evidently, Tszyu is taking digs at Charlo’s credibility as a fighter. However, many fans were not in agreement with him and made it evident. Below are a few intriguing fan reactions.
A fan Chris Castro asserts that Charlo is not afraid of him. He states, “Tim, FAM, sit this one out. He wasn’t ducking you in fact he’s cleaned out the division and on his second run of cleaning out the division. Why would he duck you when Canelo is better than YOU?”

Meanwhile,
Hypo R.A.M justifies Charlo fighting Alvarez and states, “The pay day matters more and this is a huge fight for boxing… These kinda fights help fighters get to they bag.. I don’t believe in putting ya life on the line for pennies/crumbs at some point after 25 fights you should already be making 5million plus because you put that”The pay day matters more and this is a huge fight for boxing… These kinda fights help fighters get to they bag..
