Last year in March, Floyd Mayweather‘s beloved assistant and best friend Kitchie Laurico passed away. On that note, Mayweather shed tears on The Pivot Podcast, speaking about his bond with Kitchie. Although Mayweather is often seen as a confident individual certain of success and life, the 46-year-old was vulnerable recalling the moments he spent with Laurico.
Besides mentioning how Laurico helped and supported Mayweather and his family, ‘TBE’ recounted that Kitchie wanted to see Super Bowl LVIII live. Therefore, the 50-o boxer regretted that he was not accompanied by Laurico when he watched the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Fransisco 49ers.

In his latest appearance on The Pivot Podcast, at one point, Floyd Mayweather was asked how he dealt with the losses of people he loved. In this connection, Kitchie Laurico was mentioned too. Although Mayweather initially said he did not “want to talk about that,” the 50-0 boxer gradually opened up about his bond with Laurico. As tears ran down his cheeks, Mayweather stiffened up his lips and said, “We’re going to get through this. That’s tough because she [was] my best friend.”

“Kitchie was the only person in life that I could talk about anything to. That knew my deepest secrets. There was no male or female in my life that I told more stuff to than her,” added ‘TBE’. Along these lines, carried away by emotion, Mayweather revealed that Laurico wanted to see the San Fransisco 49ers go against the Kansas City Chiefs in Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas.
“The only Super Bowl she wanted to go to was the one in Las Vegas. She was so happy for her 50th birthday, she wanted to go to Aruba. Was going to have a big party for her,” Floyd Mayweather, who purchased Super Bowl LVIII suite ticket worth $1 Million, said. While Mayweather could not take Kitchie to the Super Bowl, ‘TBE’ claimed he took her to “100 countries“.

“She taught me a lot. She helped me a lot,” Mayweather added. Before concluding, the retired boxer recalled how he and Kitchie would often talk about music among other things.
