During the interview, David probed Garcia by asking about his relationship with Canelo. In response, the Victorville native stated, “I asked him to play golf. He didn’t hit me back. I don’t know why.” After this, David highlighted Canelo’s comments in the Breakfast Club podcast, where Canelo said he warned Garcia about Oscar.
Canelo said, “I told him! You can ask him, I told him. But at the end of the day, it’s his decision, right?” He also spoke about whether De La Hoya was a good person! “I don’t know if he’s a good person or not. But I think he’s not the person that he shows,” said Canelo. So, reacting to these comments from Canelo, Garcia stated, “Well, first Te Amo mucho Saul. I miss you. Hit me back.”

Later, elaborating on Canelo’s statement, the Victorville native suggested there are no good people in the world. “Second of all, [there are] no good people. It says in the Bible nobody’s good, only God. So, at the end of the day, it’s only good-hearted people and just guys that [have] messed up hearts,” said Garcia.
Even adding, “I don’t want to get involved in their business. Saul did give me advice and [said] don’t do it. I’m like him! I’m loyal. If we could work it out, we could work it out.” What’s more, when David queried whether Canelo was like a mentor to him, imparting knowledge, Garcia revealed what Canelo was like. “He was a man of very few words. But when he spoke, it made sense. He likes to be very reserved, and he likes things to run a certain way,” said Garcia.
