Mainly because they claimed that Haney was the one who dominated the fight against Gervonta Davis. So, after Garcia made the footage public, the father and the son went on X and talked about how the video is heavily edited.

Four minutes later, Bill Haney also made a post regarding this controversy. He also stated that the video is edited, and urged the people who leaked the video to show the rest of it.
