Ryan Garcia loves to keep his followers updated with every detail. However, this will not be the case anymore. The American had recently decided to step away from social media and focus on the upcoming fight against Devin Haney. So, who is catering to his 11 million social media followers? His management has the reigns, and they have already notified the fans of his health condition.
‘KingRy’ had become a hot topic on the internet over the last month as his social media shenanigans troubled fans and evoked concerns about his commitment and focus. While the likes of Bernard Hopkins called it a ploy to seize a psychological advantage, others questioned the lightweight boxer’s health condition. With the management taking over the social media duties from Garcia, the fans could rest easy, and anticipate only vital updates from Garcia’s handle. One such update came when the 25-year-old visited the hospital.

Ryan Garcia turned to his Instagram handle and posted an image of him with a couple of hospital machines and a nurse in the background. He captioned, “Healthy- Posted by management.” It appears that every post that his management makes will have a clear indication of whether the 24-1 record holder is the person behind it or his team. So does it mean Garcia has abstained from social media? Will he not post anymore?
That’s not the case. In a recently uploaded clip by Fight Hype, the Victorville native has again specified his intention to take a break from social media. He had reasoned out the feeling of being “unloved” behind his move. This time, he has explained the upcoming fight as the reason.
He is going “zero dark 30″ until the conclusion of the fight against ‘The Dream’ as the WBC super lightweight crown is on the line. But Garcia’s self-imposed restriction is only limited to posting. He would be talking to everybody and exchanging messages on DMs.

“Hey guy, just wanted to say that I’m taking a break from posting. I’ll still be on here, talking to everybody, dming maybe, respond to DM. Checking what’s up. But other than that like I’m just going to stop posting. I’ll start posting after the fight. I’m going to zero dark 30 until the fight. Love you guys. Peace,” Garcia said.
Garcia comes into the fight after a spectacular knockout of Oscar Duarte. Meanwhile, Haney, at 31-0, recently moved up to super lightweight and defeated Regis Prograis to clinch the title. It remains to be seen whether Garcia’s tactics will pay off come April 20.
