Ryan Garcia has bagged some significant achievements throughout his career. So, a comparison with a set of influencer-boxers who are relatively new to the sport did not sit well with the pugilist. The frustration of the same could reflect on December 2nd, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Garcia is poised for a comeback after his loss to Gervonta Davis. Facing off against the formidable Oscar Duarte, the 25-year-old is eager to silence his critics. Both fighters share a single professional loss, but Garcia’s resume boasts encounters with tougher opponents.
Recently, ‘KingRy’ blasted the ones putting his own name and the likes of KSI and the Paul brothers in the same category. With an explanation of why he does not fit there, he has expressed his frustration at being compared to the relatively newer entrants.

In an interview with Showtime Boxing, Garcia spoke about his past and upcoming fights. He also mentioned how he feels disrespected. According to him, this happened after he faced comparisons with Deen the Great, KSI, and Anthony Taylor. “I’ve been disrespected because they tell me about Deen the Great and Anthony, Ugly Boy Taylor, whatever his name is, KSDumb*ss or whatever his name is.”
Garcia has been in boxing since he was seven. Moreover, he has represented the country as well. Suggesting that they could do well in a fight with him is disregarding all his hard work and prowess. Garcia does not harbor any personal grudge against them He, in fact, finds the Paul brothers likable enough for a battle and backs himself to win. “I will blow them out the water in the same day within three to four rounds man.” In the ring, Garcia believes he has an obvious upper hand.

KingRy reveals his stunning boxing tier list

In a promotional video for his upcoming fight with Duarte, Garcia revealed his list on DAZN. In an interesting move, he grouped former undisputed champion Devin Haney and WBC super-lightweight champion Regis Prograis with social media star Jake Paul, categorizing them all as ‘good’. As expected, this raised eyebrows, especially considering Paul’s limited experience and one loss to Tommy Fury. Surprisingly, Garcia was less generous in his assessment of Paul’s fellow social media personality, KSI. He bluntly suggested that he should “Retire.”
The tier list featured categories like GOAT, all-time great, good, OK, and retire. The only one Garcia categorized as the ‘GOAT’ was Manny Pacquiao. For Canelo Alvarez, Tyson Fury, Amanda Serrano, and Katie Taylor, his label was ‘all-time greats’. While placing himself in the ‘good’ tier, Garcia aspires to achieve ‘GOAT’ status in the future.
