There’s still some time in the Ryan Garcia vs. Devin Haney fight on 20 April. However, people nearly got to see the fight unfold without paying last week! ‘King Ry’ walked up to ‘The Dream’ Haney during the Super Bowl Radio Row and started a scuffle. After throwing several obscenities at each other, Garcia pushed Haney, starting what seemed like a street brawl.

However, no blows were actually thrown, thanks to the bystanders and the bodyguards. Yet, after Garcia pushed Devin, Bill Haney stepped in to fight his son’s battle and was swiftly cast aside by one of Garcia’s bodyguards. So, Bill turned to X, stating, “He better keep his grimy filthy paws off of me or anybody related to my team, or next, you’re gonna have to deal with Big Tank.” And, of course, Garcia wouldn’t miss the opportunity to create drama, so he responded to the warning through his Instagram story today, backing his bodyguard.

The Victorville native responded on social media, claiming, “Big tank can’t mess with Gaiinz,” alongside sharing a picture of his bodyguard. A formidable man, flexing his sinewy muscles, occupied the frame. It was an obvious attempt to intimidate Bill Haney, but chances are Garcia’s intimidation tactics wouldn’t work, evident from Haney’s prior tweet. During the scuffle at the Super Bowl press event, Garcia, in an attempt to bad mouth Haney and his father, shouted, “Your dad is a p*mp, and he’s p*mping you.”

It was enough to get a rise out of Bill, who turned to X yesterday, responding to Garcia. Referring to Garica’s recent divorce, Bill shared an image of a book named, “P*mp: The Story of My Life.” And captioned the post, “Here ya go kid [Ryan Garcia] read this, and your ex-wife will magically walk back in your life, and you will live happily ever after.” Meanwhile, the scuffle seems to have motivated Devin Haney even more, who detailed what would happen on April 20.

Devin Haney reveals his prediction for the fight

Speaking to Sofia Gutierrez from DZAN on 13 February, the Las Vegas resident claimed, “Fireworks. It’s been a long time coming. We’re 3-3 in the amateurs, and this is number 7. It’s time to seal the deal. To prove who’s the better man, who’s gotten better since the amateurs… It’s time for me to show the world how great I really am.”

Moreover, ‘The Dream’ referred to Garcia’s knockout loss to Gervonta Davis, where ‘King Ry’ had to take a knee after absorbing a brutal shot to the ribs. Haney claimed, “We’ve seen Ryan quit before. And I don’t think this will be anything different. I think once you have that quit in you, you know how to do it. I think he’ll quit on April 20th.”
