It seems like Floyd Mayweather Jr. has a new opponent ready to fight him. Even before the smoke of his brawl with John Gotti III has settled. The former -five-division world champion is one of the most active professional boxers ever, as even retirement couldn’t keep him away from the ring. However, things with Gotti III did not go as planned, and the fight turned into a brawl. This brawl resulted in Gotti III’s suspension. Now, a former world champion has thrown his hat in the ring to fight Mayweather Jr in an exhibition fight.
Former two-time world champion Joel Casamayor opened up about the debacle between Mayweather Jr. and Gotti III. And, with that, he revealed his interest in becoming the next potential opponent for Mayweather Jr. for his next exhibition fight.

In a recent interview with ESNews, Casamayor talked about Mayweather Jr. and what he thinks about his exhibition fights. Moreover, he gave his perspective on the brawl between Gotti III and Mayweather Jr. after Gotti III was disqualified from the fight.
When asked if he is open to doing an exhibition with Floyd, Casamayor replied, “Yes, sir. Good show.” Another professional boxer Albert Ochoa was also present at the time and talked about the Gotti III brawl. Ochoa said, “I didn’t see nothing. Gotti was hugging him. They called it from that.” Ochoa also showed his interest in fighting Floyd, saying, “If deji can fight Floyd I wanna fight Floyd.” The former champion seemingly has no shortage of opponents.
Talking about the brawl, Casamayor said, “he fights,” referring to John Gotti III. It is unclear who Mayweather Jr. will choose for his next exhibition. But, it can be said that it won’t be an easy choice as he has many people who want to get inside the ring with him.

The brawl between Mayweather Jr. and Gotti III could not be kept to themselves. Families of both of them reigned into the brawl making the matters personal. Gotti’s sister sent an open “I’m coming for you ” threat to Floyd Mayweather’s daughter, raising many eyebrows.

However, in an interview with Ariel Helwani, Gotti III declared that “there is no bad blood here.” He also clarified his “enemy for life” remark for Mayweather Jr. He claimed that those were words of anger, and he didn’t mean it. It seems both families have moved on from what happened on the night of the fight.
