Who can you blame for this? Is it the desire of enemies-turned-friends and business partners Logan Paul and KSI to fight under the same roof? Or is it Dillon Danis‘ unusual skills of garnering eyeballs that are currently running the show? What should have been a night for bromance, exciting action, and entertainment is slowly becoming a carnival of controversies. Irrespective of the results on October 14, Misfits Boxing might have put too much on its plate for its good.
Misfits Boxing has done a great job of putting together a PPV card that creates buzz and seizes the imagination of boxing fans. Tommy Fury puts his undefeated record on the line again against a YouTuber. Meanwhile, the elder of the Paul brothers marks his boxing comeback after setting the wrestling ring on fire. However, the promotion has created a problem of plenty, as the event leaves fans in confusion and the PPV in jeopardy.

Misfits Boxing might have the best of intentions when they put Tommy Fury vs. KSI as the Prime Card headliner. But it has come to bite them as the main event fails to generate excitement among the fans. Instead, the fans are more interested in seeing whether Danis returns to his deserting ways. He did it earlier this year against KSI, and as they say, bad habits die hard.
Additionally, Danis’ prodigal trash-talking skills have made sure his pro-boxing debut isn’t lackluster. He has exceeded promotional expectations and ignited the fireworks of verbal warfare.
On the other hand, the presence of Tommy Fury on a card ipso facto slots him as the main draw. In addition, a fight against another undefeated boxer in KSI creates the storyline of putting their undefeated streaks on the line. A bit of drama also accompanies the card, as when KSI last entered the squared circle against Joe Fournier in May, he left the arena with a controversial decision.
Therefore, putting these two fights on the same card made sense until Danis’ actions erupted in a controversy that dwarfed everything else. Even the main event, KSI vs. Tommy Fury.
A controversy that continues to eclipse everything
‘El Jefe’ dragged Paul’s fiancée Nina Agdal into the mix and has since posted pictures with her previous romantic partners. His shenanigans created a sensational wave that drew all the attention to their fight. As expected, these antics didn’t sit well with the Danish model, who has slapped him with a $150,000 lawsuit for incessant online trolling. Further, a restraining order is also in place to regulate Danis’ activities.
While Paul claims Danis has committed a federal crime, it appears the mountain of misery is piling up on Danis. “Dissemination, you don’t gotta get to details, there’s more counts coming. It’s heavy dude, I’ll be honest it’s a f**king 50 caliber adamantium bullet to the dome,” Paul revealed recently when he appeared on BS w/ Jake Paul.
Hence, the fire of the Nina Agdal controversy has pushed everything into the background, and the smoke has killed the buzz surrounding the Tommy Fury vs. KSI fight. But the troubles don’t end here, as the Manchester card runs deep and leaves other fighters craving the limelight.
A deep card: Too much for the fans, too little for fighters
Besides the two main event fights, the star-studded evening will see the likes of Salt Papi and Anthony Taylor in action. However, their names fail to make headlines. The tag team action between Wassabi Lmao and Los Pineda Coladas is also an attraction that barely gets a mention despite being a striking addition.

The main card is as follows:
Salt Papi vs Slim Albaher
Deen the Great vs Walid Sharks

King Kenny vs Anthony Taylor
Whindersson Nunes vs My Mate Nate
The big names adorn the night but fail to turn heads, as all the eyes are on the two main event fights. While the card is stacked, some fights could use some spotlight. Splitting the card into separate events could have served both the fans and fighters better. Misfits Boxing does the plentiful when it comes to efforts, but it may have overdone it this time.
