The boxing realm remained excited for a lethal clash between Russian fighter Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev. Light heavyweight champion, Bivol was all set to defend his WBA title against Beterbiev, but the fight did not come to fruition. The 32-year-old has held the title since 2017, however, he was stopped from fighting for the WBC belt currently held by the unified champion Beterbiev. In the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, WBC’s president, Mauricio Sulaiman concurred with the growing sentiment of keeping Russian fighters away from the ring.
As many stakeholders in the realm supported this decision, Bivol lost a chance to further his name in the sport of boxing. The June 17th fight failed to see the light of day, taking the fighter a step behind in his boxing career. However, as time progressed he began looking for other viable options. This desire of his seems to have worked for him. The fighter has booked a bout against Lyndon Arthur for this December. But the question still persists. What would a Bivol vs. Beterbiev entail?

An uncertain cloud looms over the highly anticipated bout between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev. While the WBC would not allow the Russian fighters to contest the light heavyweight title, fans still seem to remain optimistic about it taking place at some point in the future. Moreover, most fans have also predicted the results of the potential matchup. While most agree that it would be a hung battle after all, some seem to side with Bivol.
It all started with a fan boldly declaring that the predictions for the fight would be in favor of Dmitry Bivol.
Bivol outboxes him

Another user seemed on the fence while making such a prediction. Talking about Beterbeiv’s age, and his lack of exposure to the boxing ring for a year, the user sided with Bivol under one condition – If Bivol is able to sustain his opponent’s punches effectively, the night will mostly be on his side.
Have no idea. Arthur is closing in on 40 and hasn’t fought in a year. His next fight is in 2024. Bivol, he is on a missing milk carton. It comes down to if Bivol can or can’t take arthur punches. Joe smith hurt Bivol, better question will we ever get to see that fight?

Another user hesitated to undermine Beterbiev’s boxing prowess. The fighter has time and again proven his worth in this boxing realm. He has a stellar unbeaten record of 19 fights, all of which he won through KOs.
Wouldn’t want to write Beterbiev’s power off but think Bivol would out box him and win on UD

A user concurred with the opinion that the winner of the fight could be anyone’s guess. Calling it a fight for the ages, the user predicted the fight in Bivol’s favor, through a Split Decision.
It’ll be a fight for the ages. I reckon Bivol wins via SD, could go either way though.

Overall, the dominant sentiment in the boxing realm remains to just have the fight take place. Only time will tell if the two will ever face each other in the ring.
