27-year-old, Wilson, also remains a big name in the super featherweight division, chasing his chance for a title fight. The precision puncher began his professional career in 2018. The same year, he pitted himself for the Australian super featherweight title, winning it against Brent Rice on points.
As he continued to power through the Australian boxing scene, he was stopped by Joe Noynay in 2021 in the 5th round, marking his career’s first loss. Being dealt with another loss against Emanuel Navarrete last year, his current fight record stands at 13-2, with seven of his wins coming through knockouts.
For both these fighters, the upcoming fight determines who among them will get closer to a title shot. On the record front, with more in-ring experience, Valdez takes the lead. However, a closer look at their physical strengths gives a much more nuanced picture.
