Now again, Jay-Z has included Davis’ name in his song during the live concert and expressed his love for the boxer.

Rumors of a new Jay-Z album sent the internet into a frenzy back in January 2024. Music video director Hidji World, known for his work with A$AP Rocky, fueled the speculation on his Instagram stories. A photo of a film production slate hinted at a 2024 Jay-Z album. The slate listed Hidji World as the director and Leroy Farrell as the director of photography, suggesting a new music video shoot for the legendary rapper.

However, Jay-Z’s label, Roc Nation, poured cold water on the rumors, stating they were unaware of any upcoming album. He organized a concert where he rapped some new lyrics mentioning the name of his favorite boxer. He sang, “I’m just watching TANK boxin um!”
