The Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fight seems to have become the flavor of the season. The clash still remains four months away. However, the online space, as far as boxing goes, appears to have been inundated with posts, messages, talks, and perhaps the most favored of all, projections on the outcome. Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has been offering yeoman service in the realm of promotional activities. A few hours ago, it shared an interesting conversation taking place between Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson on ‘Nightcap’.
The much-vaunted bout might have ruffled a few feathers, though. It could be on account of the age gap between Tyson and Paul. Nevertheless, conversations persist regarding the anticipated result of the match. Speculations on the eventual winner and the potential conclusion of the fight dominate the social media landscape. Is it because Sharpe and Johnson’s discourse adds a new twist to the ongoing narrative that MVP took notice?

Finding a similarity between Mike Tyson’s uppercut and the toy and game ‘Rock’Em Sock’Em’ Robots, Shannon Sharpe said, “Mike Tyson hit you with that uppercut and hit you like Rock’Em Sock’Em robot. Remember Rock’Em Sock’Em robots?”

Chad Johnson added his bit. Jake Paul has been boxing for some time. But it’s hardly comparable to what Mike Tyson has accomplished in a nearly two-decade-old career. Sharpe quipped, it’s been some time since he retired from the sport. However, ‘Iron’ Mike’s skills still remain a force to reckon with. “He’s a professional he’s he’s retired, but he’s he still got skills,” he said.
Johnson continued with the perspective. Mike Tyson will be fifty-eight by the time the fight comes up. But, anyone who has seen his training videos could foretell the challenge that Jake Paul is about to face. It will be too much for him, despite the time he has spent boxing and the seriousness with which he has been pursuing it.
But still, he believes there could be a way the young YouTuber-turned-boxer could put a check on ‘Iron’ Mike.
A Saving Face for ‘The Problem Child’
According to Chad Johnson, there are chances Mike Tyson might not resort to applying pressure the way he used to in his prime. In that scenario, if Jake Paul maintains a distance with his jab, then he might have a way out. Otherwise, if Tyson goes for the offensive, then it might be too much for Paul. Shannon Sharpe also concurred that the chances were highly unlikely.
“I love Jake, you just got to be able to keep your distance, keep that jab out there, and if Mike, I know I’m, I guarantee you, I don’t think Mike is gonna do it,” said Chad Johnson.

Apart from the age difference issue, the fight received doubts over the usage of headgear. Then questions over whether it would be an exhibition fight or a proper professional boxing fight loomed. The organizers of the fight appear to have placed a request with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) in this regard. The fight has been receiving a fair amount of criticism. Nevertheless, it’s something everyone would be looking forward to. More so since Netflix would literally take to millions of homes across the globe.
