Welterweight fighter Jaron Ennis continues his chase for the big fish in his boxing career. So far the fighter has fought whoever came his way, and with great panache. But his prowess deserves a better fighter that could push him through the ranks. So far this year, he fought and won over Karen Chukhadzhian and Roiman Villa. But his vision is over the much-wanted opponent of the class, Terence Crawford.

In his bid to possibly defeat a fighter like ‘Bud’, or someone of the same caliber, he has left no stone unturned in his training. With his clean and swift jabs and seamless footwork, he showed the boxing realm his adeptness in his last two fights. Now, as he pushes for the elite fights, his training becomes even more rigorous. And fans recognize that.

Jaron Ennis Exhibits His “Mayweather-esque” Padwork

With a promising career in the boxing realm, ‘Boots’ Ennis has emerged as a fighter that the world expects much from. Time and again, he’s met those expectations. However, now comes the time when he strategizes his moves in the realm. After having conquered all of the fights he’s undertaken, he needs that big fight that would align with his unbeaten record. With that as his priority, he also furthers his boxing acumen. In a recent training session, the fighter showed off his pad work skills that have immensely impressed his fans.

The fighter has been heavily appreciated for the footwork he’s imbibed in his regime. The same was evident in the video. One fan appreciated that. They said, “The way boots just switched effortlessly is so crazy”.

His seamless switch from one jab to another, from one knockout move to another, was recognized by another fan. They commented, “His switch is so subtle and non existent can’t even tell.”

Another user wished for what Ennis had been asking for. They called on Crawford to give up on the Canelo Alvarez and instead fight Ennis. They said, “Crawford need to quit waiting on a canelo EBT & get in there with this man here!”

A fan saw a glimpse of the next undisputed champion in Jaron Ennis. His acumen is so impressive that comparisons with Floyd Mayweather were made. They wrote, “Mayweather-esque defense timing and work ethic + one punch ko power in both hands at welterweight + both stances = next Undisputed Welterweight Champion.”

To sum it all up, a user went on to refer to Ennis as the best fighter of this era. However, the lack of elite opponents in his record was attributed to the lack of belief in himself. The user said, WE’RE LOOKING AT THE BEST FIGHTER IN THE WORLD AND THE WORLD JUST DOESN’T HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA RIGHT NOW#FACTS

If not Bud, who will go against Boots?

Everyone in the welterweight class wants to fight the Omaha, Nebraska, native. And so does Jaron Ennis. On many levels, he also deserves it as well. But if the former brushes past against Ennis, who will his next opponent be? The fighter says he’d love to clash against Keith Thurman. However, the former unified champion has not shown any big enthusiasm to fight Boots but has said that he has no problems with the idea.

A month ago, ‘One Time’ Thurman said, “If that’s the contract that comes in my face and I can’t get a champion.” Further drawing parallels of his career with that of Ennis, Thurman continued, Look at the man’s record. Yeah, he’s undefeated, coming up. He wants a shot. I wanted a shot.” However, in response came Ennis. He says, “There’s nothing else I can do. I get tired of hearing his name. He keeps acting like he never got an offer before.”
