Naoya Inoue became the first undisputed super-bantamweight champion after defeating Marlon Tapales yesterday at Ariake Arena, Koto-Ku, Japan. The first thing Inoue did after the fight was address his fans on X (formerly Twitter). As expected, the tweet immediately elicited numerous responses from his fans and followers.
Besides his dominant tenth-round knock-out win, the Japanese ‘Monster’ joined the ranks of Claressa Shields and Terence Crawford to become the third boxer and the second male boxer to hold undisputed titles in two weight divisions. So, when the fans discovered the tweet from the new two-division undisputed king, they could not help but praise the boxer.
