Mike Tyson is often thought of as the best heavyweight in the world! But what about Jake Paul? The guy who is about to enter the square circle against Tyson. As far as Tyson’s trainer for the Jake Paul fight, Rafael Cordeiro, is concerned, Paul is a great fighter. Earlier this month, the fight between Tyson and Paul was announced to the public.

The eight-round professional bout is scheduled to unfold at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will be broadcast live over Netflix on July 20. However, before the fight can kick off, Cordeiro appeared in an interview with Ariel Helwani on his popular MMA Hour podcast today, where he praised the 27-year-old boxer for his come-up in the sport.

Rafael Cordeiro has nothing bad to say about Jake Paul

Speaking to the Brazilian trainer, Helwani probed him about his thoughts on Jake Paul’s career thus far. In response, Cordeiro claimed, “He is a great fighter. The guy didn’t have to respect. [He was like a Disney] kid – he became a man. And then, [he learned] how to fight. He [learned] how to throw [a] punch.” So, the trainer confessed that he only has respect for ‘The Problem Child.’

Highlighting Paul’s fights against Tyrone Woodley, Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Tommy Fury, Cordeiro stated, “I have no trash talk to talk about him. Nothing to say about him.” Tyson’s trainer feels Jake Paul has proven himself to be a skillful fighter. While Tyson’s trainer only had great things to say about Paul, the same cannot be said about this UFC fighter.

UFC middleweight claims Paul is a “disgrace of a man”

Sean Strickland and Jake Paul have exchanged words of derogation before! When the UFC middleweight beat up Sneako a while back, Paul challenged him to a fight. It turns out Strickland hasn’t been able to let it go yet. While appearing in an interview with Dave Schmulenson today, Strickland didn’t hold back his discontent about Paul and his decision to fight 57-year-old Tyson.

Claiming he wanted to murder Jake Paul, Strickland questioned how old Tyson was. He said, “I wanted to f**king murder Jake Paul. But it’s bullsh**, man. It’s … I mean, how old is Mike Tyson, 60? … 57?” He then went into what can only be explained as a hate-filled rant. “Jake Paul, you are a disgrace of a man. You are the epitome of weakness – You are the sc*m of the earth… You truly make me f**king disgusted,” said Strickland.

With that said, people have mixed responses to the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, to say the least. While Tyson’s trainer thinks Paul is a standup guy, Strickland has the exact opposite image of Paul. Regardless of who thinks what of Paul, the fans are more concerned about what would the fight look like. Will Tyson school Paul? Or will Paul’s youth prove too much for ‘Iron Mike?’
