Having violated his 90 days of house arrest, Gervonta Davis went to jail to serve the remainder of his sentence. In 2020, ‘Tank’, driving a Lamborghini Urus SUV, damaged property and injured a pregnant woman, Jayir Smith. Following the incident, Judge Melissa M Phinn sentenced Davis to three months of house arrest at the hearing. As per the terms of his house arrest, Davis had to live in a one-bedroom apartment where he could not meet his kids.

However, Davis soon bought himself $3.4 million worth of property and violated the terms of his house arrest. This action led Judge Althea M. Handy to send the WBA lightweight champion to jail. After serving the remainder of his sentence, Gervonta Davis has been released from Jail. And as Michael Benson took to Twitter and shared the news, several people reacted to it.

Since he was refused access to luxury and comfort, Gervonta Davis was supposed to reside at Calvin Ford, his trainer’s place, while under house arrest. However, he could not help buying himself a property and thus landed himself in jail following his fight with Ryan Garcia in boxing. Anyway, Calvin Ford is extremely happy that Davis is finally back. Thus, he even took to one of his Instagram stories and exclaimed, “How great it feels!” While Ford exclaimed his happiness, Twitter witnessed some wild reactions after Benson’s post.

According to one, Davis looked like the “OG Bobby Johnson from south central“.

Sarcastically, one added, “There goes “The Face of Boxing”.”

However, in someone else’s opinion, “this was Jesus father from He Got Game“.

Meanwhile, someone even compared him to Mike Tyson coming out of jail. “Mean and Ruthless as hell,” they added.

According to someone, Davis must call up his barber “ASAP“.

Now that Davis is back, boxing fans are contemplating his next bout in the ring. Following his win over Garcia on the 22nd of April, it is likely that Davis will fight Shakur Stevenson or Devin Haney. He is currently 29-0-0 and must keep himself out of trouble to make unhindered progress in his professional career from now on.
