On the 25th of July, with the WBC and WBO super Bantamweight titles on the line, Stephen Fulton would finally square off against Naoya Inoue inside the boxing ring. The bout was previously scheduled to take place on the 7th of May this year in Yokohama, Japan. However, due to an unfortunate injury suffered by Inoue, the fight was postponed. Once again Fulton now has the opportunity to face “the best” Bob Arum has seen “in years“.

Although Fulton is the current unified Bantamweight champion in the sport, it is safe to say that the former undisputed Bantamweight champion Inoue somewhere overshadows the American boxer with his resume. In this context, Fulton recently addressed his underdog status and vowed to turn his doubters into believers.
