Michael Buffer takes a selective pick for the fight
On questioning the legend about the upcoming fight, he could not stop listing praises in favor of Canelo. “It is hard to go against Canelo”. Buffer seemed doubtful about Charlo’s capability to beat Canelo after having moved up not one, but two weight categories. Canelo has established his dominance in the super middleweight category after collecting four championship titles, which he will be putting on the line in this clash. “This guy looks like he’s 180 pounds” said Buffer, taken aback by the Mexican fighter’s build.
Buffer barely mentioned Charlo, only mentioning his jump in categories. One thing Buffer is sure of, however, is that the fight is going to keep fans hooked. “A really outstanding fighter so; we always wanna see a great fight” Buffer predicted, referring to Canelo.
Jermell Charlo remains confident despite odds
Charlo currently holds the title for the undisputed world light middleweight champion. He will have to move up from 154 pounds to 168 pounds, which is a major jump and can be quite physically demanding.
