In the days leading to the Canelo fight, a huge sect of the fighter’s followers pushed his name as a lion who would absolutely annihilate the Mexican fighter. But when reality made its presence, the world knew in a ring if Canelo and Charlo came face-to-face, who would survive?

One user still stood by Charlo. However, expressing their disappointment with the way he fought that night, the user said, “charlo is still a beast. idk why he ran and hugged all night tho smih.

Another user suggested that in the course of the 12 rounds, Iron Man too landed some punches on his opponent. They commented, “Charlo took a couple power shots to the shoulder the first few rounds and shut down.” According to CompuBox, Canelo landed more punches than his opponent by a margin of 134 to 71. Charlo has close ties with the popstar, Chris Brown. In the days leading to the most important fight of his career, he fell back on the pop star’s creation for motivation. One user took scathing digs at Charlo listening to Brown during his training camp. They commented, “knew it was over when he was listening to Chris Brown during training camp.”

Before this crucial fight for Iron Man, he had spoken a great deal about what it meant to him to go against a fighter like Canelo. Echoing the same sentiment, a Canelo fan had expected some resistance to be shown by Charlo. But only disappointment came their way. They said, “Man I was going for Canelo, but I was more disappointed in Charlo. Really thought he was gonna back up all that talk.”
