The thing about predictions in boxing is – it has a funny way of proving people wrong. And sometimes, it leads to some truly hilarious situations. Something of that sort transpired on social media today when Stephen Espinoza laughed at Joe Rogan’s old clip, predicting Francis Ngannou’s potential success in boxing.

Back in October last year, Francis ‘The Predator’ Ngannou shocked the world with his spectacular performance over Tyson Fury. Ngannou even managed to drop the “best heavyweight in the world.” However, when people expected the same from him during the Anthony Joshua fight in Saudi Arabia, ‘The Predator’ became the prey! So, the former president of Showtime decided to pour salt on the open wounds of all the UFC fanboys.

Post Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou, the entire UFC community was over the moon about Ngannou nearly causing an upset against Fury. In Rogan’s popular podcast, the UFC commentator claimed, “If I was Ngannou, I would tell him, you are [going to] make so much money in boxing. And I think he might be able to beat them all. I think he’s that good. I think he’s that much of a freak.”

He had blatantly declared Ngannou the winner despite the official decision being in Fury’s favor. Rogan even questioned, “What happens if he fights all those other guys?” Well, after Friday’s fight, Rogan definitely got the answer! So, when Rogan’s clip saying all this last year surfaced online, Espinoza reacted to it with a laughing emoji, expressing how off Joe Rogan was! What’s even worse for Ngannou is the fact that even Dana White commented on his lackluster performance!

Dana White makes his thoughts on crossover boxing known

After Anthony Joshua dropped Francis Ngannou in the first round and subsequently solved the mystery that was Ngannou in the second, Dana White appeared in the UFC 299 post-fight press conference to express his thoughts. Ngannou had left White’s UFC to make money in boxing, so it’s safe to say that White was never happy about it.

Not to mention, White has expressed his disdain for the crossover setting from the beginning. So, reacting to Ngannou’s embarrassing loss, White said, “If Fury trained for the fight. [And] didn’t show up and looked like he ate Tyson Fury. This is probably the way [The Fury] fight would have ended, too. You know how I feel about crossover to boxing and all. That’s how they end. Just like that!”
