Jake Paul’s next fight against former heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, is raking up major heat in the international boxing realm. Now, his former foe, and the newest addition to the Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) banner, Neeraj Goyat, an Indian boxer, has also chimed in with his predictions.

On July 20, the influencer-turned-boxer will headline Netflix’s first sporting event against, Mike Tyson. The fight ever since its inception has been criticized for the huge age disparity between the two contenders. While Paul is 27, Tyson is almost 30 years older and will be 58 when fight night arrives. Based on this premise, Goyat has some pertinent points to make.

In a Hindi-language interview on Dostcast, the 32-year-old, Goyat was quizzed on who he thinks would win between Tyson and Paul. Despite his raging animosity with his current boss, Jake Paul, he picked the ‘Problem Child’ over Tyson. However, he attributed due credit to Iron Mike for his body of work in boxing. He noted, “Jake Paul is at his peak. Yes, Mike Tyson has come. It has been a long time since he left boxing. No one can beat Mike Tyson’s skills. He’s my hero.”

He added, “Your fake Paul, Jake Paul. He’s also training, isn’t he? And he’s also young. Peak means he’s young also. The fight is going to be great. About the result, no prediction can be made. It’s hard to predict who will win or lose, but I feel the chances are that Jake Paul will do better because of the age factor.”

A major criticism levied against the Arlington-based fight is that it is not happening between two equals. The age difference between the fighters has raised major concerns among other names of boxing and fans. Furthermore, coupled with the age component, ‘Iron Mike’ will fight four years after his last stint in the ring against Roy Jones Jr.

Later in the conversation, Goyat spilled the beans on why he sides with Paul in this fight, apart from the obvious ‘age’ argument.

Who will break Jake Paul?

Neeraj Goyat, who has not fought officially since May last year, remains hopeful that his next stint in the ring will be against Jake Paul. But his confidence peaks when it comes to predicting the person who will defeat Problem Child. He notes it’s him. “But only I will break Jake Paul. His one opponent was 40 years old, and then one was 50 years old. And now the next is almost 60.” When the interviewer asked him if Paul fights older fighters so that he gets easy wins, without any hesitation, Goyat agreed. Paul has previously fought Anderson Silva, 48, and Nate Diaz, 38.

Months ago, the Indian Olympian called on Paul for a fight. However, while Problem Child did not explicitly deny fighting Goyat, he shrugged the chances of it happening under the rug by citing weight differences. Still keen on fighting Paul, Goyat, ahead of the former’s Ryan Bourland fight, made a trip to Puerto Rico where he resides. After a brawl, Goyat signed a lucrative promotional contract with Jake Paul’s MVP. Will the deal bring him his much-vaunted Jake Paul fight?
