It was fight time, and Jake Paul appeared ready. He was about to face the third professional boxer of his four-year-old pro-boxing career. However, many wanted to see whether it would go the way when he fought Tommy Fury last February or how it happened when he took on Andre August in December.
While talking to Ariel Helwani, Jake Paul exuded a completely calm demeanor and composure. Probably a hint of things to come? ‘The Problem Child’ spoke at length about the training camp he underwent. Particularly when the MMA journalist asked for possible outcomes, ‘The Problem Child’ had a one-of-a-kind answer.

The 2023 MMA Journalist of the Year award recipient caught up with Jake Paul before the ring walk. He wanted to know how Paul managed to remain so cool before the fight. ‘Yeah, man, you know, I just like to meditate and breathe,” informed ‘The Problem Child’. Then he updated further, saying that his overall preparation went very well. “It was the best camp of my life,” Paul said. With that, his two gloved hands perched on the tops of Ariel Helwani’s head.

Then he further added how nothing, not even a ‘Rhino’ could stop him now. Incidentally, his elder brother Logan Paul was standing nearby. When Helwani asked whether he had any final piece of advice for the younger brother, a proud ‘Maverick’ replied, “Absolutely not.”
“So we’re going with [a] second-round KO, the most accomplished opponent of your career; it’s gonna be a short night once again,” looking at Jake Paul, Ariel Helwani asked. ‘The Problem Child’ replied, “Well, it’s always a short night when you’re dealing with me, Ariel.”

Eventually, as it turned out, the knockout, as in the previous fight against Andre August, came in the first round itself. A barrage of combinations from the Ohioan forced the referee, Luis Pabon, to intervene and stop the fight.
So in a nutshell, out of the three fights against professional boxers, Jake Paul has emerged victorious in two. Now that he’s done with Ryan Bourland, one good thing would be to go back to Tommy Fury for a rematch. It’s a fight many fans would love watching. A win over the scion of the Fury clan should ideally attest to his claims as a future world championship contender.
