“I’m Proud of Devin”: After Calling Out Jermall Charlo, Caleb Plant Makes His Pick Between Devin Haney and Regis Prograis Ahead of December 9 Fight

Devin Haney is about to enter the ring against Regis Prograis on December 9, and the whole world is here for it. Following the tradition of predicting the winner, Caleb Plant has taken his pick between ‘The Dream’ and Regis Prograis. Meanwhile, Mr. Sweethands seemed poised for his own potential battle against the undefeated Jermall Charlo. 

It’s been quite a while since the feud between Plant and Charlo started. During the Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. fight, the Nashville native trashed Jermall for invading his personal space. So, everyone speculated a clash between them, but nothing has come out of it quite yet. While appearing in a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, the 22-2 boxer called out Jermall Charlo while picking the winner for the upcoming Haney vs. Prograis fight.

Caleb Plant claims hard work always pays off

While speaking to Fight Hub TV, ‘Sweethands’ Plant began by suggesting that Haney vs. Regis would be a big fight. He went on to claim he is proud of Haney for pursuing big fights. “It’s a good fight, big fight, and I’m proud to see [Haney] constantly going after big fights, and I’m proud of Devin,” said Plant. Later in the interview, Haney revealed who he thinks would win the fight while giving props to the opponent as well. 

“I got Devin in that fight, but Regis, just he’s a good fighter,” said Plant. In addition, the Nashville native highlighted Haney’s hard work, stressing that hard work always pays off. “I mean, it just proves that hard work always pays off, and I know him and his pops have been working hard for a long time,” said Plant. With that out of the way, here’s what Pant had to say about the potential Charlo fight.

Caleb Plant wants the Jermall Charlo fight next

During the same interview, the reporter highlighted Plant’s performance in a sparring session. So, the super middleweight boxer revealed what he has been up to since suffering his second career defeat at the hands of David Benavidez. “Just constantly getting better, constantly being in the gym. So, I’ve been in the gym for a long time now since my last fight. Since like May or June,” said Plant.

He went on to claim that he and his team are trying to arrange the Jermall Charlo fight while claiming he doesn’t need a tune-up fight to face Charlo. “Just trying to get that Charlo fight. That’s what we want next, you know. I don’t need a tune-up going in that fight. It doesn’t matter if I’ve been off a little bit,” said Plant. 

With days left in the inevitable clash between Devin Haney and Regis Prograis, Mr. Sweethands predicts the outcome of the fight.
