When asked about his experience in Saudi Arabia, the newly crowned winner highlighted his working-class background. Meanwhile, he revealed how his father saved him from heading into the wrong path in life. “Me and my dad have come from nothing. Absolutely nothing! Hearing this, Helwani quickly probed Greene about what stopped him from spiraling down the wrong path in life. That’s when he credited his success entirely to his children. “I had a son when I was sixteen, and I feel like I owe my life to him. [My] son is watching right now, and my other son and my daughter,” said Greene.
When asked about whether he had anything to say to his children, Greene stated, “I am [going to] ring you in about five minutes, and I love you with all my heart.” Moreover, tonight’s fight marks Greene’s first win since his unanimous decision loss to Sam Gilley in October last year. Meanwhile, his attitude indicates many fantastic performances are in the store from him.
