“I Have Never Seen Him Drink, Never Seen Him Smoke…”:Uncle Jeff Mayweather Claps Back at Manny Pacquiao’s Advisor for “Deteriorating” Floyd Mayweather Remarks

A rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is an exhilarating subject for most boxing fans! So, the possibility of the fight turning into a reality has the entire boxing world on the edge of their seats. However, a comment from Pacquiao’s advisor has ticked off Floyd’s uncle, Jeff Mayweather, who clapped back at Sean Gibson, Pacquiao’s advisor, with facts.

The pair first encountered each other in May 2015, surrounded by a sold-out MGM Grand Garden Arena. However, by the time the fight ended, there was much to be desired from the clash. So, when ‘Pac-Man’ revealed he would face ‘Money’ in a rematch during the Rizin 45 event, it sent shockwaves throughout the community. However, it’s worth mentioning there hasn’t been any confirmation from Mayweather’s corner. 

Jeff Mayweather sheds light on the Floyd Mayweather he knows

In an interview with The Mayweather Channel, shared on YouTube yesterday, the reporter swiftly highlighted what Gibson had said about Mayweather. “Sean [Gibbons] has said they’re both great fighters obviously, but Floyd has deteriorated immensely since then, Manny’s basically [is] the same fighter,” the reporter revealed. In response to the claims from Gibson, Jeff decided to reveal some facts about Mayweather.

“Well, I mean, the Floyd Mayweather I know, and that’s been my nephew for all my life, [I have] never seen him drink, never seen him smoke, never seen him do anything but work hard. And he’s still working hard every time I come into this gym,” Jeff told The Mayweather Channel. However, the question remains – why would Gibson make such a comment?

Advisor to Manny Pacquiao reveals PacMan’s game changer

While speaking to Betway about Manny potentially fighting UFC’s Conor McGregor in a crossover event, the host asked Gibson about Manny vs. Floyd. So, Manny’s advisor claimed Floyd caught Manny at the right time and defeated him. However, he said, “Manny is light years ahead of him now because Floyd’s skills have diminished incredibly.”

He went on to highlight the former eight-division champion’s hand speed, claiming it’s as fast as it was when Manny was in his prime. He added, “Manny is a fighter and an entertainer – whoever wants some can get some, but this is on Floyd. They have been in discussions in Japan for Floyd and Manny for two years.”
