And he revealed the inspiration behind having a ‘junkyard’ working out montage in his ‘Rocky’ movies. He spoke about the man who had motivated him to achieve such a physique.
Sylvester Stallone recently took to his Instagram to share the story of a movie that changed his life forever. Not long ago, Stallone had shared a training clip from ‘Rocky’ wherein he trains with a bodybuilding legend.

The 76-year-old shared a picture of late actor and bodybuilder Steve Reeves. Sharing the picture, the actor discussed the movie “Hercules Unchained,” which changed everything for the actor when he was just 12 years old. The picture shared by Stallone is a collage of him in his Rocky Balboa persona and of Reeves.
Stallone wrote, “This is a picture of the great Steve Reeves. I was a skinny 12 year old when I went in to a movie theater and saw a film called “Hercules Unchained “ starring this man… I felt my brain catch on fire, and I finally found a role model.” The lack of training centers back then did not hinder young Stallone’s passion for marking the beginning of something sensational.

“I went to a junkyard and started lifting metal parts which I duplicated in Rocky 2, and that day my life changed FOREVER!” The actor added, talking about his workout after watching the movie. It seems like Reeves unknowingly played a major role in Stallone’s life. It seems like that ‘Junkyard’ workout left an imprint on Stallone as he recreated that in Rocky 2.

The actor also shared a motivational message for his fans. He added, “You never know when you wake up in the morning what’s going to change your life!
