In an interview with Boxing Scene, Ugas unraveled his disappointment. Yordenis said, “I don’t know what the f**k happened…I mean, that wasn’t the Spence that fought with me. He seemed like a completely different person.” According to Ugas, the Errol Spence Jr. that fought against Terence Crawford, seemed like a completely different person. Ugas, who lost his WBA belt to Spence 15 months prior, was perplexed by Spence’s lackluster performance.

Furthermore, he believes that the Spence who fought him was a different beast altogether. So, what could be the reason behind this drastic change in Spence’s performance? Ugas suspects that Spence’s decision to drop down to 147 pounds adversely affected his performance. He even goes as far as to say that the rematch at 154 pounds will be a more competitive fight. However, despite the odds, looks like Spence is adamant for a rematch.
The latest scoop about Spence’s rematch with ‘Bud’
Intriguingly, Errol Spence Jr. has exercised his contractual right for an immediate rematch against Terence Crawford. The date and weight limit for this highly anticipated rematch are yet to be set. However, Spence has expressed his desire to challenge Crawford at the junior middleweight maximum of 154 pounds.

Additionally, renowned personalities like Boxing Promoter, Eddie Hearn has his doubts about Spence’s chances in the rematch. “I think that was a taxing fight for Errol Spence,” he told The DAZN Boxing Show. Hearn believes that Spence has “a few miles on the clock,” which could be a significant factor in the rematch. Furthermore, legendary personalities like Oscar De La Hoya have thrown light on Spence’s ill health for the rematch.
