There have not been many times Alycia Baumgardner has tasted defeat. But, the only time in her professional career that happened was at the hands of Christina Linardou. However, Baumgardner has the opportunity to avenge her defeat as she is scheduled to fight Linardou in a rematch on June 15th. And this time, the reigning champion will need to ensure that she will get her revenge when she steps foot inside the boxing ring on fight night. Interestingly, she lost the first bout via split decision.

Recently, Baumgardner took to her Instagram to share a number of pictures from the face-off ahead of her clash against Linardou. While sharing the pictures, she wrote a caption giving an idea about what she will be bringing to the rematch.

The stage is set for Baumgardner’s revenge

The reigning WBC featherweight champion took to her Instagram to share a series of pictures from the face-off with Linardou. And, without even saying anything, she made it clear that she would not be going easy when she faces Linardou on fight night.

In the first picture, Baumgardner can be seen holding all of her championship titles while Linarodu is standing next to her. In another photo she shared, she can be seen sitting next to Eddie Hearn while giving an interview. And, in the final one, she can be seen facing her opponent with bad intentions, giving a hint of what will be coming for her on the night of July 15th. While sharing the photos, the champion wrote, “BAUMGARDNER 💣 AND STILL.”

Notably, this is Baumgardner’s opportunity to not only make a successful defense of her undisputed titles. But also avenge her only loss in her professional career. ‘The Bomb’ is coming into the fight with strong back-to-back wins, and she poses a serious threat to her opponent, having a boxing record of 14-2.

On the other hand, Leonardo had her last loss to the Irish boxer Katie Taylor. And is coming into this fight with two consecutive wins. This will be her opportunity to add the undisputed title to her boxing resume. And make it a 2-0 against her nemesis.
