Demetrius Andrade has been on the receiving end of a lot of flak in recent years. With a stellar record of 32 undefeated fights, the boxer vacated his WBO middleweight title in April last year. His mandatory challenger, Janibek Alimkhanuly, was however ready for the bout. But Andrade decided to move up the weights to challenge Zach Parker.

However, the fight was rescheduled for the interim WBO middleweight title. But leaving this fight behind, too, he decided to defend his title against John Ryder. After having navigated this entire path of turbulent matchups, Andrade has finally narrowed down on a new fighter, and rumors suggest it is David Benavidez.

Andrade is just one fight away from getting his dream fight against pound-for-pound fighter, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. However, standing in his way is 26-year-old David Benavidez. His opponent comes with a stellar record of 27-0 and has earlier defended his title against David Lemieux and Caleb Plant. Reports have further emerged that the two fighters are in the last leg of negotiations.

In a video, Andrade can be seen trying his hands on different knockout combinations as his fight against Benavidez inches closer. The video has pushed fans to ponder on their predictions for the upcoming matchup

A fan was confident that Benavidez would manage to solidify his position by successfully defending his titles. He said, “I ain’t gone lie I think benavidez gonna beat that ass.”

Another user claimed that looking at this training video, Benavidez’s clan would be alarmed into thinking that they made a mistake by taking on this fight. The user said, “Right now Benavidez Sr and David are saying, “Should we really take this fight?!”

A fan was impressed by the way the fighter has gone up the weight. He said, “He’s looking really big, I hope he can make 168.”

The hunger that Andrade oozes is clearly visible in each jab the fighter takes at the punching bag. The user commented, “He still hungry. He still wants it… this sh*t dont stop”

However, another user remained skeptical of the boxer’s prowess, commenting, “When Andrade is in the ring with one of these top guys, I’ll believe it.”

The results of this fight will probably determine who goes against Canelo. But it’s undeniable that Benavidez and Andrade will enter their bout carrying a significant amount of pressure and expectation.
