The footage showed Shakur, alongside his friend, brawling with a random couple on the streets of Miami Beach. Alongside the clip, the user wrote in the caption, “The last time Shakur Stevenson fight was exciting,” poking fun at Shakur’s recent pro fight. Naturally, as the clip went viral on the platform, Shakur became the laughing stock among fans.

Since the old clip reappeared on X, fans could not help but draw comparisons with Shakur’s fight last night. Since the tweet went live on X, it has gathered over 540K views, more than 3K hearts, and a plethora of comments. 

One user suggested Shakur could have used his friend’s help in last night’s fight.

Another user who did not watch the clip before claimed Shakur will be sued soon. Responding to the comment, the person who shared the clip clarified that the lawsuit has been settled already.

Someone else praised the woman seen in the clip brawling with Shakur, claiming she held her ground during the fight.

Edwin asserted that they came into the fight with different mindsets. “I came to fight, he came for a track meet,” Edwin told ESPN. He went on to suggest that the decision was unfair and that he is the people’s champion. “He was gifted a title, but I am the champion of the people,” said Edwin. According to Edwin, he is above Shakur’s level.
