However, this year, those claims have been refuted, as the two fighters have faced stipulations concerning the fight’s location and a dispute over the revenue split. In response to questions about whether the undisputed fight against the Ukrainian native is still his top priority, the ‘Gypsy King’ seems to downplay the significance of this bout. 

Tyson Fury on the Undisputed Title

As the interview continued, the interviewer asked Tyson Fury if he still had the Usyk match on his mind. He retorted with a candid question, “Has it ever been my priority? Did I ever say I wanted undisputed?” Fury’s straightforwardness in addressing the issue is evident, as he doesn’t mince words or beat around the bush.

Fury, known for his zany personality and candor implied that the pursuit of an undisputed match was for someone who lacked ambition and that the title might not have been his personal aspiration but rather something that others expected of him. He referred to it as “some other little b*tch’s dream,” Displaying his characteristic crass language and directness, Tyson Fury addressed the situation. According to Radiotimes, Usyk’s team asserted that it was Tommy Fury’s team who declined to agree to a rematch clause, ultimately rendering the 70/30 revenue split clause obsolete.

The Heavyweight champion implied that the key sense of the possibility of the match happening is if Usyk agrees to a smaller percentage of the revenue. However, he made it abundantly clear that if Usyk demands a larger share of the financial pie, Fury’s response will be a resounding “No thank you.” This bold stance indicates that Fury values his worth and is not willing to compromise when it comes to the financial aspect of the bout.

Fury expresses his regard for Francis Ngannou

Fury went on to express his belief that Francis Ngannou, the UFC heavyweight champion, would pose a more formidable challenge than the other boxers in the division. He conveyed, “I think Francis Ngannou is gonna be a tougher challenge than these other guys.” Saying this, Fury believes that Ngannou is a more formidable challenge than ‘The Cat’ and looks forward to fighting him next month on the 28th. We predict that this match will generate substantial PPV revenue, presumably to Tyson Fury’s satisfaction.
