For years, the Premier Boxing Championship has set the stage in the world of boxing. The series came to life as Al Haymon attempted to bring back boxing to the mainstream media and provide fans with a convenient and accessible manner of watching their favorite boxers. Rumors have it that after Fox Sports decided to pull back, the deal with Showtime might also be coming to an end.
Haymon, as an alternative, has approached a streaming service worth $524.9 Billion, which could potentially change the entire streaming experience for viewers. The question is, are fans in favor of the change?

Amazon Prime has been peaking in the last few years. The Jeff Bezos-founded company is raking through statistics and is now worth $524.9 Billion. This is exactly where the former boxing manager has decided to direct his business. Though the deal has not been set in stone yet, the talks are ongoing and fans are hoping for it to work out.
“This will be amazing!!! Everyone has Amazon prime and Amazon take over everything in the end. If Amazon got into boxing that would be OP and take boxing to a whole new level” said one fan, elated that boxing will be touching new heights with Amazon now.

“Showtime is not capable of affording it anymore. They know it so they wont continue negotiating or trying to renew. Amazon would be wise to get involved in something like that.” One fan claimed that Showtime does not have the required funds to be supporting the sport anymore and it is a win-win situation for both the sides if PBC decides to join hands with Amazon.

This step by PBC pushes new possibilities towards execution. In recent years, Amazon has pulled One Championship and NFL to its platform as well. Now it could possibly add PBC to the list. Canelo Alvarez who has made headlines recently after his win against Jermell Charlo is just one of the athletes who PBC has signed. With Canelo as a pawn, PBC could incur huge profits by partnering with Amazon.
