Foreman had a celebrated career as a boxer; he defeated Joe Frazier to claim the Heavyweight championship and had a historic fight against Muhammad Ali in a bout billed as “The Rumble in the Jungle.”
With time, Foreman grew respect and admiration towards Ali and spoke highly about him in public. Many consider Ali to be the greatest boxer of all time and hold him in high regard. However, in a recent tweet, he did not take Ali’s name as the “most spectacular athlete” which raised eyebrows in the boxing world.

In a recent tweet, Foreman lauds Mike Tyson for being the most exceptional talent that the combat sport has seen. Tyson is highly regarded as one of the greatest boxers but his defeats and his off-court controversies have earned him considerable criticism. That being said, Foreman disregards any contrary opinion and on Twitter stated, “Say what you want; criticize as you will; But the fact of the mater is; Mike Tyson was the most spectacular athlete I have ever seen. Power & speed like someone from another planet. All other sports were put on back burner. when fought”

On his podcast, “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson”, he often dwells on sharing his opinion regarding the current landscape of the sport. In an interview, he revealed that he considers Tyson Fury to be the best boxer today. Reflecting on the fact that his name is inspired by Tyson, he stated, “That must happen it’s like Tyson, you’re Tyson Fury. Now, he’s the greatest fighter in the world. How did that happen? You know, how did that s**t happen?”
