In the third round of the bout, ‘The Predator’, did the unexpected by knocking Fury down.
Not to mention, he had the ‘Gypsy King’, hurt numerous times. In a recent turn of events, Ngannou points out how promoters and boxers have changed their outlook towards him since his fight with Fury. Hearn is the CEO of Matchroom Boxing and has advised and managed multiple notable boxers in the past. One of his most notable boxers happens to be the former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Intriguingly, Joshua and Ngannou both happen to be heavyweight titans. In a recent interview on the ‘Last Stand Podcast’, The Predator made it clear what he thought about the British boxing promoter.
Ngannou revealed that Hearn made an offer to him to face ‘AJ.’ However, he also revealed the fact that he tried to approach Hearn for a boxing bout against Joshua after he first made his exit from the UFC. All in all, he teased the fact that his performance against Fury allowed Hearn to approach him for a fight with a fresh perspective.
“My team received a text from Eddie and I think that’s all. I met Eddie when I’d just separated with the UFC and I think it wasn’t interesting for them because I never heard back until the other day, until somebody else stepped in and took all the risk, and now he’s around,” remarked Ngannou.
It is intriguing to note that there may be an offer on the table. This is an indication that a heavyweight clash might be on the cards. However, further into the interview, Ngannou stated that according to him, a fight with Deontay Wilder would be more lucrative for the Cameroonian-French MMA star. But he did not fully brush aside a future bout with AJ. Which leads us to the question, who will win if the bout takes place? Let’s dive in on what a former professional boxer had to suggest.

The former boxer is none other than Spence Oliver. The English boxer did not attain a world title in his career, but he was a silver medalist in the Commonwealth Games. Recently, he made headlines after he predicted Joshua to not only win against Ngannou but also to win by a stoppage. However, it bears mention that he did give the MMA star his due props.
In an interview, he stated, “And now it just makes it an interesting one innit? Cause I saw Eddie Hearn saying, I agree with him when he said that you know he thought Ngannou won the fight and he went to AJ. See AJ boxes Ngannou, I think stylistically AJ would flatline Ngannou. I think that’s the way it goes.”
