The technique that has been popularized by the former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, has also found its way to Anthony Joshua. Recently, the former two-time heavyweight champion went into a dark retreat to attain a state of mental peace. So, before he decided to sink himself inside a dark room, he talked about it with Men’s Health Magazine. He explained the process and how there was no internet service or any electronic device whatsoever. One has to just sit silently in the dark and they’ll be served food in the room itself.
He has spent £2000 on such an accommodation. The former champion declared that he’d be going on a four-day dark retreat journey and expects great results from it. He said, “By October 20th, I will be one of the coolest people, coming out after sitting for four days in the dark.” Joshua is currently preparing for his potential fight against Deontay Wilder. So maybe it’s one of the tricks to prepare himself mentally for the ‘Bronze Bomber’. The fans had mixed reactions.

Anthony Joshua’s new pursuit has left certain fans skeptical
The journey is finally over for Anthony Joshua. He completed the challenge he had set for himself on October 16, 2023. So once it ended, he stated that he stayed committed to it because he wanted to know himself better. He said, “I’m doing it for character. In this, it’s just me and my mind.” The fans saw it differently.
One of the fans stated that Anthony Joshua is going on the right path, trying to find peace with himself. The sport of boxing already requires a lot of mental fortitude.
Lives every day in his life under more pressure and scrutiny than most could imagine. It’s probably not the pressure he expected when he first went to a boxing gym.
Hope he finds a bit of peace and clears his head.
