After securing the victory against Jermaine Franklin, Anthony Joshua decided to run it back again against Dillian Whyte on August 12. The rivalry that has been prevailing since their amateur careers, will be replayed again in Joshua’s next bout. Although, ‘AJ’ has made it clear that he doesn’t bear any animosity toward Whyte, and it’s all business for him right now. He even stated that he won’t leave any stone unturned for this rematch. Mainly because, after this bout, Joshua’s focus will instantly shift to the anticipated December contest against Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia.
But the plans regarding his August fight seem to be lopsided. In the first fight between these two titans, both fighters stepped on the canvas with their zero-loss record with WBC International titles. But unfortunately, Whyte got TKO’ed in the seventh round. Well, the rematch this month was the chance to redeem his loss. But now that chance seems to have washed away.
