Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua will fight on the same card on December 23. While Wilder, former WBC Heavyweight champion will face Joseph Parker, a former WBO Heavyweight title holder, Anthony Joshua who formerly held the Unified Heavyweight title will lock horns with former European Union Heavyweight champion, Otto Wallin.

At this, as the organizers, which include the Queensberry Promotions and Matchroom Sport, struggle to decide on the pair that should headline the main event in Riyadh, Wilder introduced a unique but useful method. However, he also ended up arguing that his fight with Parker deserved to be the main card on December 23.

Given that all four are elite boxers, it is tough for the organizers to pick a match between Wilder vs. Parker and Joshua vs. Wallin for the main event. At this, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ feels the organizers should just flip a coin and leave it all to luck. However, he also feels that the most exciting fight should be prioritized by the organizers.

“I think me and Parker should be the main event too. We are also two former champions. Why wouldn’t you have two former champions at the main event? I’ve requested the flip of the coin, maybe, at the presser or something like that,” said Wilder. “I think that would be good [for] promotion. But, if they have their orders, whatever it is they want to do, I’m fine with that,” he added.

In this context, Wilder claimed he wanted the best for all the boxers fighting on December 23. As a result, he stated, “I think the most exciting fight should be the main event.” However, he simultaneously argued that his bout with Parker would be a better fit.

KO almost guaranteed: Wilder argues he would do justice to the main event

In Wilder’s brutal opinion, it is for the knockouts that people come to watch fights. Likewise, with a KO rate of 97.67%, the 38-year-old, who KO’ed his last opponent within only 40 seconds into the fight, feels he has a greater chance at delivering a knockout than Joshua does against Wallin. As a result, he said, “Women lie, men lie, but, my numbers don’t lie.”

I have more chance of knocking my opponent out than Joshua does. What’s the greatest thing to see and then go home to? A dramatic knockout,” Wilder concluded in a cold tone.
