The first fight of Canelo Alvarez‘s PBC three-fight deal is over with a unanimous victory against Jermell Charlo. This bout was quite looked forward to in the boxing world, as it was the first-ever ‘undisputed vs. undisputed’ clash in the history of boxing. Now the question arises, who will Alvarez face in the next two fights of this deal? The tentative names of his opponents are out. According to Salvador Rodriguez of ESPN MX, Canelo Alvarez might go against Jaime Munguia in May, and then David Benavidez in September.
Reportedly, if Jaime Munguia manages to win against John Ryder in their January fight, then he may get to face the undisputed super middleweight champion. After facing Munguia, Alvarez’s team is contemplating the much-anticipated David Benavidez fight in September next year. However, the fans showed their impatience and wished for Benavidez’s fight to be sooner.

But finally, he has a chance to prove himself, only if he secures a win against Alvarez’s former rival John Ryder. But the fans have something else in mind.
One of the fans stated that nobody was interested in this fighter, and Munguia was not even from his weight class.
A fight no one asked for & a fighter not even in his weight class 🤦🏻♂️

One fan explained that it does make sense to schedule Canelo’s fight with ‘The Mexican Monster’ in September, as it’d be his last fight with the PBC. So, they’d want to save the biggest fight for the end.
It was always going to be September for Benavidez. These casuals don't get it. It's his 3rd and final fight with pbc. Makes since to save the best for last.
