The boxing world is no stranger to tussles and rivalries. At times, even the fighters’ promoters engage in verbal altercations with other promoters. Similarly, Oscar De La Hoya and Eddie Hearn, two of the most famous promoters, do not share kind words for each other. De La Hoya is the CEO of, “Golden Boy Promotions,” while, Hearn is the CEO of “Matchroom Boxing.” Although De La Hoya retired from boxing, he continues to strike his competitors with his words. Earlier this month, Hearn had an event in America. However, De La Hoya was not pleased with the event, found it boring and demanded Hearn to, “Go back to the UK .”

Though, when the opportunity arose, Hearn cut no corners to strike back at De La Hoya. Recently, Golden Boy’s biggest star, Ryan Garcia is facing a legal battle with his own promotion. Witnessing the same, Hearn told IFL TV, “He’s got the fight of life on his hands right now. The biggest fight of his career against Ryan Garcia.” Both promoters, with their recent comments, have made their hostility against one another evident. The same continues to prolong as in a recent turn of events, Canelo Alvarez, who was signed to Matchroom Boxing has now signed with Al Haymon’s PBC official. De La Hoya was delighted to hear the news and took a jibe at Hearn.

Word spread in the boxing world that Alvarez is no longer associated with Hearn’s promotion. Witnessing the same, De La Hoya posted a picture of Hearn crying with the caption, “#lonesomeEddie.”

The picture is snapshot of an interview in which Hearn had turned sentimental while referring to a boxer who had passed away in the ring while fighting. Reflecting on the same, a fan, ArsenalCapex stated, “I wish people wouldn’t use the picture of him crying when a fighter died, for their jokes.”

While, one fan richmond17 pointed out that De La Hoya is invested in Hearn’s life. He stated, “Bros obsessed with Eddie”

Another fan Lufc1982 calls out De La Hoya and undermined his dig at Hearn. He stated, “What Oscar fails to realise is canelo was never signed to Eddie as a promoter it was fight by fight and he was free to move around unlike when he was signed to golden boy and left…”

A fan by the name of Lou Pearce reminds De La Hoya of the time Alvarez left him with hostility in his heart. He stated, Has he forgot that canelo also left him to”

A fan named Boxer sided with De La Hoya and made a speculation about Hearn’s next move. He stated, “Eddie will be back calling Canelo a drug cheat now he’s not with him”
