Mike Tyson‘s lavish lifestyle and indulgence in luxury are not unknown to his fans. This negligent expenditure on Tyson’s part resulted in him going bankrupt in 2003. This was also when he had to sell his grand 55,000-square-foot mansion. The ‘In Da Club’ rapper, 50 Cent, had swooped in to lay his hands on the magnificent property. He had to spend an additional amount for renovation and $61,000 for maintenance per month.
In a resurfaced clip of the rapper’s interview, 50 Cent reveals how he changed his mind during the renovation after finding just how expensive every small detail in the house was.

What did Mike Tyson leave behind in his magnificent house?
The Queens rapper did not foresee that owning a house this big would come with its own drawbacks. Unable to put it to good use and after spending thousands on maintenance, he decided to sell it at a lower price than what he had bought it for. In an interview, he talked about how his experience with the house was.

When asked whether ‘Iron Mike’ had left anything behind while leaving the place, 50 Cent responded with a yes. He said he had to hire an interior decorator as dealing with a 55,000-square feet house was too overwhelming.
Talking about certain light fixtures which he called ‘ugly’, he said, “I had no idea what to do in some of those spaces, right? She was like- these things are hideous, can we take them down? I was like- yes. Then they told me they was 10 carat gold. I said- put em back.” Seems like Tyson did not mind spending his fortune on something as minute as a light fixture. 50 Cent might have ended up disposing of valuable gold had he not come to find out the reality.
