Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis have been at each other’s throats ever since the conclusion of the former’s highly anticipated bout against Regis Prograis. In the latest updates, the back-and-forth between the two has progressed even further. Bill Haney recently even made claims that Davis had allegedly turned down a $20 million offer from Haney’s team. In the video, he could be seen baffled, simply stating, “Bro, you turned down $20 million guaranteed. $20 million, bro. Are you serious, bro?”

This caused a huge storm in the boxing world, and soon Davis fired back during Instagram Live. He claimed, “These n***as is p***y. If they wanna make the fight happen, tell them they know who to call. They’re broke.” As Haney continued his attempts to get under Tank’s skin, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions took the chance to give on final response to the former. Here’s what both of them stated.

Recently, a video of Bill Haney surfaced on social media. In the Twitter video, Haney, in response to Ellerbe’s recent comments surrounding the Haney-Prograis fight, expressed skepticism. He stated,  “Leonard Ellerbe himself wants to present some fake numbers to the people. Good brother, the fight and the engagement far exceeded 50 thousand, 10 thousand, anything that you can muster up in your fat head to come up with any lie about.” He asked Ellerbe to share the source where they found the recent fight to be lacking in any aspect. Moreover, he even called him “Mr. Spook”. He also claimed, “Everybody had a wonderful time in the Bay Area.” He stated that everyone needs to treat Haney with respect for his talent.

Ellerbe was not one to back down and soon shared his response as well. He wrote, “Since you’re new to the PPV game, let me educate you on a lil something, you or nobody else can’t make an offer to Tank Davis, remember you’re the opponent. That’s how it works. I’m not going to be going back and forth about this nonsense”.

He appeared tired of the constant exchange of words between the two parties and didn’t want it to needlessly continue. However, it appears that ‘the Dream’ has already made his plans to face Davis as he turned down another champion.

Devin Haney on potential super fight

It is beyond doubt that the fight between Davis and Devin Haney would certainly be a huge fight. However, during a conversation with ThaBoxingVoice Podcast, Haney revealed another possible huge fight that could happen in the ring.

According to Haney, two-division world champion Teofimo Lopez approached him for a potential bout. However, this left Haney irritated instead. He revealed, “So, on one random day, I get a text from Teo. And he is like, ‘It’s Teo bro, let’s make this fight.” However, Haney told him, “‘You’re in a contract, right? So you’ve gotta go talk to Bob, right?’ He said yeah. I’m already in talks with Bob Arum, so what the f*** am I talking to you for?”.

Despite turning down Lopez’s proposal, Haney noted that the former could have just been drunk. It’s noteworthy that while Haney opted against the fight, his father, Bill Haney, expressed interest in a clash between ‘The Takeover’ and ‘The Dream.’
