Crossover bouts have been the talk of the town in the realm of combat sports. But notice that usually, it is the MMA combatant that ventures into boxing. However, there are certain outliers and one of them is Mia St. John. The former lightweight boxing champion who competed in MMA back in 2008. She made her professional debut and won via a knockout in the first round. Needless to say, she lives up to her nickname, ‘Knockout.’

However, she is one of a kind in many other ways. She is a mental health advocate. Not to mention, she is one of the few female professional boxers who is friends with A-list celebrities in Hollywood. In a recent interview, she recalled and shared a story with Noah Lack during an Exclusive ES fancast interview of the time she went on a motorcycle trip with Keanu Reeves and fell “Head over heels,” for him. Keanu Reeves is not your regular Hollywood actor. He has starred in blockbuster films like The Speed, The Matrix, and The Devil’s Advocate. He is a fan-favorite actor not just because of his impeccable acting abilities but also his charismatic personality. It is this charismatic personality that St. John fell for, but she was enamored by him way before he became a megastar. Intriguingly, the two even went on a motorcycle trip some time ago. When asked about Reeves as an individual, she was all praise for him.

In an interview with the ES fan cast, she revealed to Noah Lack, “I did watch The Matrix, but I fell in love with Keanu years before when he did his very first movie called River’s Edge. That’s the movie that really stands out for me cause that is when I first saw him and just fell head over heels for him. Little did I know as a young teenager that one day I would be going on vacation with Keanu Reeves. Like I would have said no fr*ckin way.”

Needless to say, she was awestruck by him from the get-go. And meeting him and going on a vacation was a dream come true for her. Although she retired from the sport of boxing, she is known and regarded for various other things and continues to be in the limelight.
