Crawford displayed amazing boxing prowess to defeat Errol Spence Jr. via a ninth-round knockout victory to claim undisputed welterweight champion status. The bout also received a lot of success in pay-per-views. According to reports, the event garnered at least 650,000 domestic Showtime PPV buys. Though the exact number is yet to be determined, it is possible that may even reach 675,000 after the final count.
With each PPV selling at $84.99, the fight has successfully amassed over $55 million in revenue. Not only that but the fight billed as “The Fight of the Century”, also had an impressive $21 million in ticket sales. It received a full house attendance of 19,900 fans which places it next to other huge fights of the year. Now, both fighters are expected to earn at least $25 million each from the bout, with Spence holding a slightly greater share under the terms of his contract.
‘Bud’ responds to ‘Tank’ Davis calling him out
Unsurprisingly, with this victory, a lot of boxers have set their eyes on the new Undisputed Welterweight Champion. A lot of potential opponents have sprouted just days after the bout, staking their claims and hoping to get a share of the glory. Among them, there is “the Truth” of course, interested in invoking the rematch clause in the deal. Another one is the mandatory bout with Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis. Moreover, even Keith Thurman joined the fray recently, he stated that he is “hungry” in a video as he called out Crawford.

However, one surprising name also joined the list of ‘Bud’s’ potential opponents. This time Gervonta Davis, himself has shown his interest in the bout. In fact, Tank made a bold statement claiming he can K.O. Crawford in just 6 rounds. In response, Crawford, simply stated, “You know you look at all the great fighters being called out by everybody from different weight classes. Tank is in his weight class for a reason. I don’t see him coming to 147, face me no time.”
