On March 9th, 2019, Shawn Porter won a split decision to keep his WBC welterweight title against Yordenis Ugas. People weren’t happy with the decision, and there’s been a lot of talk about it. According to ESPN, during the fight, neither Porter nor Ugas was in clear control for long. Some rounds could have gone either way. Porter stayed on the outside, while Ugas controlled the center of the ring. But neither boxer could keep up a strong attack, which disappointed the crowd because there wasn’t much action.
The former welterweight boxer recently sat down for an exclusive interview. Although, amidst the exchange, Porter’s frustration was all a ruse, and the humor glinting in his eyes. Following that, he lashed out, demanding an end to the accusations. “Don’t even come over here with the BS! Stop pointing at me!” His words echoed his childlike disposition, slapping away at the guest’s hand.
