In a noteworthy development, Ryan Garcia shared footage back in August via his social media platforms, revealing a training session with none other than boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. The video captured ‘King Ry’ actively absorbing insights from Mayweather, widely regarded as ‘The Best Ever’ in the sport. Garcia expressed his admiration, stating in the caption, “Just working! Listening and learning from one of the best in the world.”

Mayweather had previously indicated his interest in signing Garcia, a Golden Boy Promotions fighter, under the condition that he become a free agent. This collaboration comes on the heels of the two sharing a courtside experience at a WNBA game in July. The photo from that time has resurfaced again after Garcia knocked out Oscar Duarte in eight rounds only a few hours ago.

An X account, Boxing Kingdom, shared the photo of the two, from a few months ago. In the caption, they wrote, “Ryan Garcia rocked up with Floyd’s defence tonight.” However, fans thought differently. One of the fans stated that Garcia’s movement emulated his 8-year-old kid, and they weren’t impressed by his display.

Another fan stated that Garcia was too high up on the horse if he thought he could master Philly Shell in just one meeting with Floyd Mayweather.

One fan asked the page to not insult Floyd Mayweather by comparing him to Garcia.

A fan took a different route as they talked about the progress that was blatant in Garcia after his fight against Gervonta Davis.

An X user also commended Garcia, mentioning how the boxer was able to execute a perfect plan throughout the entire bout.

Even though the majority of the fans weren’t impressed, some acknowledged Garcia’s progress. In recent times, Mayweather has even shown an interest in signing Garcia under his promotional banner.

In a recent revelation, Mayweather shed light on his conversation with Ryan Garcia, clarifying that their discussion primarily revolved around life, family, and the impactful realm of social media. Mayweather disclosed that the discourse touched upon the lucrative possibilities offered by social media platforms in the modern era.

Notably, Mayweather mentioned that a friend of his had generously provided Garcia with a complimentary Aces ticket. Regarding Garcia’s boxing future, Mayweather clarified that while he is not actively seeking to sign Garcia, if the young boxer expresses interest and becomes available, Mayweather would be open to signing him.
