Dana White does not hold back when calling a spade a spade. The CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship is a shrewd businessman and knows a thing or two about how to put on an entertaining show that would generate massive revenue. In a recent interview, he weighed in on the pay-per-view numbers of the ‘MISFITS 009,’ card. It is reported the card generated over 1.3 Million pay-paper-views buys which is nothing to scoff at.
However, White would like to scoff at it as he does not believe in the numbers being quoted. In addition, he labeled Logan Paul, Dillon Danis, KSI, and Tommy Fury as liars. Why does he say so? Let’s find out.

Dana White is skeptical about Misfits ‘009’ card PPV claims
On the Misfits card, KSI fought Tommy Fury in the main event and Logan Paul fought Dillon Danis in the co-main event. All four of them brought their own fan base and that card garnered a lot of attention. Moreover, a couple of days later, it was announced that the fight did 1.3 Million pay-per-views. However, White is of the impression that these numbers paint an exaggerated picture.
Reflecting along these lines, according to MMA Fighting, he stated, “Let me tell you how hard it is to sell 1.3 million pay-per-view buys, and if you did sell 1.3 million — if you sold 700,000 pay-per-view buys — they’d put putting on fights f****** 10 times a year.” He added, “When you hear those kinds of numbers fly around the pay-per-view world, they’re lying motherf******. Don’t ever believe that s***.”

Many pundits believe that various promoters exaggerate their pay-per-view numbers. It appears that even White is making a similar allegation. Moreover, it bears to mention that in the same interview, he disregarded the possibility of Dillon Danis competing in the UFC.
White is not keen on Danis competing in the UFC
After his last bout against Paul, Danis is adamant about competing in the UFC. However, White does not foresee it as he finds the former Bellator fighter to be problematic for the company and does not want to sell fights the way he does. He stated, “Every time he’s around sh*t’s going down. We can’t have that stuff going on around here. A lot of people will like, when guys get into it on stage or something starts to happen, they’re like oh they must love this or whatever. We don’t need that sh*t to sell fights.”
