Does Floyd Mayweather Celebrate Christmas Like This- No Santa Tree, No Family Members, Just Enjoying a Movie and Sitting Alone With Fire

The innate curiosity always longs to know how celebrities, sports A-listers, etc. celebrate their Christmas. As far as the world of sports goes, no other name intrigues followers more than Floyd Mayweather Jr. The flamboyant, richest boxer in the world is known for doing everything in his typical big-Mayweather way. So how did it go for the undefeated former champion this time?

Synonymous with his uber-luxurious lifestyle, Floyd Mayweather Jr. loves to lavish his family members and friends with lush, over-the-top gifts and items. In fact, in a recent article published by a UK-based daily, his uncle Jeff Mayweather shared how the big day usually goes for Mayweather Jr. But given what he shared through his Instagram stories a couple of hours ago, fans might as well prepare themselves for a surprise. Especially after watching the final footage, many fans might be asking, where are all the usual Christmas paraphernalia? Or was it the post-celebration wind-up that the boxing great shared?

Floyd Mayweather Jr.: Is it Home Alone on Christmas?

In the first slide of the Instagram story, he mentioned, “At home watching The Color Purple.” Over the next few slides, musical clips of the award-winning 1985 Steven Spielberg-directed movie appeared. Then, in the last slide, presumably, the boxing legend’s feet appear with him relaxing in front of the fireside.

Jeff Mayweather, Mayweather Jr.’s uncle, was speaking with the Daily Star Sport. He gave some insights into how the undefeated former champion usually celebrated the festival. He said, “Floyd had everything catered. It was always a lot of people at his house. It was like his circle of people. Some of them that are still a part of his circle now were a part of his circle many, many years ago as well. So he surrounded himself with the people that he knew. You know, some family were there from time to time. It was a great time.”

Then he added how most of his team members, including the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe, would be present. “There would also be friends he made since he came to Las Vegas and some friends that he brought here from Michigan that are still a part of the circle now,” Jeff Mayweather said. However, the former world champion revealed that he had been to only one of his nephew’s Christmas celebrations.

For sure, the clips Mayweather Jr. shared might have shocked a lot of fans. Not long ago, he had reportedly hired a shopping center just so he could do his shopping quietly without any fanfare!
