Out of nowhere, everyone wants to fight Rolly Romero! The 15-1 boxer last appeared in the ring against Ismael Barroso, winning the fight via ninth-round TKO. Meanwhile, Barroso was supposed to face Ohara Davies in the undercard of Ryan Garcia vs. Oscar Duarte. However, the fight was not in the cards, literally, as the fight got pushed due to Visa delays. Yet, Davies is aiming for the sky – as he challenges Rolly Romero.
Amidst all this chaos, Ohara Davies isn’t the only one vying for a clash against Romero, as Ryan Garcia expressed his desire to fight Romero. After Garcia defeated Oscar Duarte in their recent clash, the Victorville native called out ‘Rolly.’ What’s more, the 27-year-old boxer seemed pleased with Garcia’s call-out. However, the WBA’s number one contender branded Romero a “b**ch” for ignoring him.

Turning to X (formerly Twitter), Davies began by asking Romero to fight him before vacating the WBA super lightweight title. “@SignUp4KOs fight me before you vacate, you bitch,” wrote Davies. The Brit went on to claim that he was coming to America to teach Barroso a boxing lesson and would like to do the same to Romero later.
. @SignUp4KOs fight me before you vacate you bitch, I'm coming to America soon to teach Barosso a lesson and after that I want to teach you a lesson too – did @LEllerbe advise you to fake injury and then vacate?? – @OscarDeLaHoya

“I’m coming to America soon to teach Barosso a lesson, and after that, I want to teach you a lesson too,” Davies wrote in his tweet. Later in the tweet, the Hackney native speculated if Leonard Ellerbe taught him to vacate titles after faking an injury. He wrote, “Did @LEllerbe advise you to fake injury and then vacate??” While the fight with Ohara Davies doesn’t seem possible, Romero claims a fight with Garcia would be the biggest PPV attraction.
Rolly Romero reveals what would happen if the fight gets made
Responding to Garcia’s performance against Duarte, ‘Rolly’ did not seem impressed. However, he was pleased with Ryan’s call out after the fight. Interestingly, both Romero and Garcia have lost their undefeated titles at the hands of Gervonta Davis. So, a fight between them completely makes sense. While appearing in a recent interview with Fight Hype, Romero suggested he doesn’t want to say too much in case the fight does get made.

“If that fight gets made – I don’t wanna say too much because, you know, maybe I say two or three words, and he might get depression and retire for a year,” said Romero. He went on to suggest that if the fight happens, it would be the biggest PPV event. “But I know if the fight does get signed, it’s gonna be one of the biggest pay-per-views this year,” said Romero.
